Top 10 Disney 100 Food and Treats at Disneyland California

Disney-themed Snacks and treats are such a part of the parks now that eating a snack shaped like Mickey is just an important part of any Disney Super Fans trip to Disneyland as say, getting a photo in front of Sleeping Beauty’s Castle! And Disneyland takes any opportunity to release new, limited-edition seasonal offerings to celebrate all occasions throughout the year. So Disneyland was not going to let the Disney 100 Years of Wonder Celebration pass by without creating a number of Snacks and Treats created just to celebrate this massive occasion.

The chocolate and caramel ganache is perfectly encased in a shortbread base topped with purple-colored white chocolate mouse. Surprisingly, this is the first Disney 100 treat in our list that is actually mouse themed; The Minne Mouse Platinum Apple puts Minnie in the spotlight for this celebratory-themed version of the typical Disney Candy Apple. For this Disney 100-year Celebration drink you are going to have to head over to Disney California Adventure and get that dining reservation. Available at the Lamplight Lounge this alcoholic cocktail is the only alcoholic drink to feature in our list and in the parks. The 100-Year cocktail is Gin and Lavender based to make it purple in color (what else). With subtle citrus notes, the cocktail overall has a very sweet taste to it, due to the large amount of honey mixed in. The perfect way to say ‘Cheers’ to 100 years of wonder!

Starting off our Top 3 Disney 100 Years Treats and Snacks list is this incredible 7- layer chocolate cake. Available at either the Magic Key Terrace or Blue Bayou restaurant you are going to either be a Magic Key Holder or get a dining reservation to enjoy this celebratory treat but it still deserves a spot in the Top 3. And here is why: this chocolate ganache layer cake has a salty pecan base and red cherry layer to cut through the chocolatey sweetness and add depths of flavor to the dessert. The 3 different flavors complement each other and enhance the gooey ganache mousse. Topped off with an edible wishing star, this is every chocoholics’ perfect celebratory treat.

Schmoozies are well known for their Instagram-friendly, delicious Mickey-themed shakes, and the Disney 100 Schmoozies shakes do not disappoint. Starting off with the Cookies and Cream ‘Steamboat Willie’ shake, Schmoozies then released the ‘Brave Little Mickey’ shake. Blueberry and honey shake topped with an Oreo cookie and edible red feather, this Disney 100 offering was just as good as we have come to expect from Schmoozies. This trifle tastes as good as it looks. The 3 layered treat includes chocolate, cheesecake, and cherry compote. the chocolate and cheesecake go well together, the cheesecake and cherries go well together and a bite of all 3 layers at the same time is incredible. Despite only being small, the Disney 10 Platinum Triffle is so rich that you can easily share it with others.

And did we say how good it looks? Carefully layered in an individual clear plastic pot, the colors of the layers compliment each other perfectly and the edible Platinum medallion topper is the ultimate bite-sized replica of the Disney 100 medallions placed all over the parks and in Downtown Disney. Easy on the eye and delicious to boot, a well-deserved winner of the Number 1 Disney 100 Food and Treats at Disneyland.

Merchandise

Obviously, there is a whole heap of new stuff for you to buy for the 100-year celebrations, but we thought we would just mention some of the food-based Merc here. There is the stunning Poison Apple Sipper Mug, which comes filled with your choice of Frozen Beverage, or you can get the larger Mickey Sipper, with Mickey all dressed up in his 100-year finery.

Both look stunning and are highly sort after with limits being placed on the number you can purchase.
