Hi Shannon, most people heading to Cities for travel are more of the adventure type, most people do not find much relaxation in Cities, even chilled cities like San Diego. But as the San Diego Pass is non-consecutive you can mix fun days in with days chilling on the beach or whatever it is you do to unwind.

The idea of a city pass is awesome for the city of San Diego. Being able to offer a way for people to enjoy the city from a technological standpoint making it simpler to explore. I have friends in San Diego and maybe it’s time to take a trip and visit. Grabbing a city go pass may be well worth it!

Hi, we know most people are not aware of the Passes and just wing it paying for staff at the gate. These passes can save a fortune and really show it pays to do a little research.

I had no idea that certain US cities offer ‘go passes’, but when you list in your article the cost of attractions, you can see how the costs can easily rack up very quickly, which makes the idea of an all-inclusive go pass very attractive.

It’s incredibly cost efficient too going by the figures you have provided.

It is a fairly large outlay, but when you consider the number of attractions it covers and how much they cost it’s certainly good value when used correctly. 

We are absolutely not fans of the Consecutive Day Nature in this instance. Some of the other passes are non-consecutive and we think that would work better here. You might consider the Explorer pass, as this is based on the number of attractions, not a day-limit, so you can work out what you want to do and then just visit them on your own time table. The possible savings are a little less, but it would probably work FAR better for your trip.

Getting Group-Ons and hunting out other offers is definitely a good way to rival the savings offered by the pass. 

It is hard to compare exactly as the Group-on savings are finite, whereas the savings provided by the pass are variable depending on how you use it. Typically we see around 40% savings with the pass but have saved up to 60%, you would be very hard-pressed to find those sorts of savings with discount codes and Group-ons. 

The other big factor is, that is a lot of effort. Multiple codes, print-outs, tickets, different methods of redeeming, it may not sound much, but it’s a real faff, with the pass, it’s so much simpler, it’s all in one place and most attractions you just scan the pass and you are in.
