Hi Line, 

Hawaii should not be on anyone’s bucket list! It needs to get ticked off as soon as possible! We know it looks super amazing from our photos and descriptions, but we can’t possibly do justice to how beautiful the Island actually is 

And as we show it doesn’t have to cost the earth, just being there is magical! 

Really hope you get that bucket list tick soon!

Going on a holiday can make a serious dent in your wallet, so to be able to find thing to do for free, and free attractions to visit, is awesome.  

I love the idea of watching a Hula show, and if one can watch it for free, even better. Thank you for sharing these beautiful places and all the options of free things to see and do in Oahu and surrounds.

Hi Lizzy, 

Backpackers are certainly welcome on Oahu! 

There are several Hostels and a really big Backpacking Vibe, definitely check out the north shore that really has that laid-back traveler vibe! 

Our last trip we stayed in a Hostel

and it was far less expensive than some of the fancy hotels down in Waikiki

To be honest, We were not planning on visiting Oahu, but after reading this have we have to!,  I do think it is a paradise on this earth. 

About the activities, it is so good that you have included free activities, as this does seem like an expensive place to stay in general. So you wouldn’t think that backpackers are welcome in Oahu? If not, I will need to save up the money anyway, because I’m going!
